“As a Fourteen year resident of Southern Nevada, and an active member in the Greater Las Vegas Valley Residential Real Estate Community, I have over 35 years experience in residential real estate management, sales, construction management, title / escrow and mortgage lending.

“When I first relocated to Southern Nevada in 1996, I was contracted by a multi-state property management firm with duties including Home Owner Association Construction Defect reconstruction and turning around financially distressed Home Owner Associations.

“Immediately prior to forming Greater Las Vegas Property Management, I served as the Director of Single Family Property Management with one of Southern Nevada’s larger residential property management companies. In my capacity as Department Director, I was tasked with the developing a “revitalization program” of the Department.

“Working with firm’s owners, management team and staff, I largely redesigned the Single Family Property Management business model, applying state of the art technology, “Consensus Management” (drawing on the insights of the staff members who “click the keys” and meet the tenants), and a number of other innovations and refinements. The results were record setting and the experience personally fulfilling.

“Rewarding as this experience was, I felt the need to continue to evolve and refine my residential rental business model free of the fetters of large corporation structure, and so launched Greater Las Vegas Property Management as an independent entity and the vehicle for further elevating the science and art of single family residential property management.

“The GLVPM business model is crafted around the specific needs of the residential real estate investor that has one, many, or dozens of investment properties in Southern Nevada. The five cornerstones of the GLVPM investment orientation are Asset Preservation, Risk Management, Income Optimization, Value Appreciation and Ease of Ownership.

More about George Vaughan

Originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, George began his career in multi-family construction and property management. As a licensed Real Estate Broker in California, he co-owned Valley First Financial Inc., a retail and wholesale residential mortgage banking concern. Between 1990 and 1994, George served as the Territory Manager / Santa Clara, Santa Cruz and Monterey Counties for Norwest Mortgage Banking; the nation’s leading lender of residential mortgages. Prior to that, he was the County Sales Manager for Universal Title Corporation, Santa Clara County, in charge of high liability insurance policies for residential subdivision, commercial and industrial title and escrow services.

George is a graduate of Gavilan College, Gilroy, California, with degrees in Real Estate Management and Construction Management (Light).

He is the Founding President of the Las Vegas Chapter of the Vietnam Helicopter Pilots Association, Past Commander of VFW Post 1753 here in Las Vegas and Founder / National Chairman of the Combat Helicopter Pilots Association / CHPA.

George’s Southern Nevada volunteer efforts include Christmas in April, a not for profit organization that re-habilitates and remodels homes for the physically challenged and low income single parent households.
